Medical Coverage

NC State Health Plan

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority recognizes employees have different needs when it comes to healthcare. Therefore, we offer a choice of two medical plans with varying options for health and prescription services. Our plans are offered by the State Health Plan of North Carolina. The State Health Plan is self-funded with claims administration through Aetna.

Full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per work week are eligible for coverage. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following your hire date and may include employee, spouse, and dependents up to age 26.
